PVC Well Points

Overview
Wellpoints are perforated or slotted pipes, typically 2-inch in diameter, designed for use in wellpoint dewatering systems. Fitted with an integrated filter screen, these wellpoints allow water to enter while blocking sand and fine particles. They are installed around an excavation site or foundation pit and connected by a header pipe to a wellpoint vacuum pump. By creating negative pressure (vacuum) in the header, the system draws water from the surrounding soil, effectively lowering the water table to ensure stable working conditions.
Available Lengths
- 3 m
- 4 m
- 6 m
- 7 m
With a typical maximum effective suction lift of around 6 meters (due to atmospheric pressure constraints), wellpoint systems remain the go-to method for shallow dewatering applications.
Key Uses & Applications
Construction & Excavation
Reduces groundwater levels around trenches, foundations, and basements. Stabilizes the soil and prevents water ingress for safe excavation work.
Civil Engineering Projects
Highway underpass or tunnel construction in areas with high water tables. Retaining wall installation, bridge piers, and other sub-surface structures.
Utility & Pipeline Construction
Maintaining dry conditions to lay sewer lines, water mains, or other buried utilities. Useful in sandy or silty soils prone to water seepage.
Environmental & Remediation
Assists in groundwater control during pollution cleanup or site remediation. Helps monitor, collect, or treat contaminated water in a controlled manner.
Product Highlights
High-Quality Filter Screen
Slots or perforations prevent sand ingress, minimizing clogging or pump wear. Durable materials extend service life and reduce maintenance intervals.
Sturdy PVC or Steel Construction
Depending on the model, wellpoints can be made from heavy-duty PVC or steel with anticorrosive coatings. Withstands vacuum pressure and harsh on-site conditions.
Ease of Installation
Lightweight design (especially in PVC wellpoints) simplifies handling and positioning. Standard 2-inch diameter fits common headers and pump manifolds.
Available in Multiple Lengths
Tailor the wellpoint depth to specific excavation or groundwater requirements. Option for 3 m, 4 m, 6 m, or 7 m ensures compatibility with varying site conditions.
Optimized for Vacuum Dewatering
Operates effectively in wellpoint systems where each wellpoint is attached to a common vacuum header pipe. Maximizes flow while minimizing clogging, ensuring consistent dewatering performance.
